The beauty of this track can only be matched by the amount of plays that it has accrued over the course of two weeks in my library… If that doesn’t say enough about Energy Alchemist and the sounds that they are creating, I’m not sure exactly how else to put this to you. This track is insane. Full of heavy basslines, lazer guided synths and some crazy thing that sounds like a space organ, this track is definitely one that will blow your subwoofers. Currently, it is unreleased… but thanks to the mix up over here, roughly one hundred of you have it in your possession. Consider yourselves lucky . Keep on Droppin’.

Ukiah, CA's Energy Alchemist brings the heat midway through The Untz's Premiere Week. This dubstep and IDM trio of Bill Hankins, Tommy Shannon, and Jared Gordon has been producing for a couple of years, including contributing music to the multi-platform performance troupe Luminesque. With an EP already out, the band is on the verge of releasing even more material. They will be making an appearance at Dubstep Academy 102 in San Francisco on May 6th, and Emissions: West Coast Bass Culture in Angel Camp on Friday, May 13th alongside ill.Gates, Machine Drum, NastyNasty, Minnesota, and more.
Today's premiere is pure Calistep. Bouncy, block synth chords snatched straight from the dub world form a foundation for Terminator-style washes. Industrial wobble is peppered over snapping beats. Neither sloppy, nor mismanaged, the rhythms are solid and steady. This track gets it right: melodies flourish, the drums kick, and the bass soars.
